Market Sunday is a monthly collection of non-perishable foods, donated by the parishioners and residents of the town, intended to meet the need of local households that do not have enough food week-to-week. Food assistance requests can be made by a member of the household in person or by phone to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (contact information is provided on their web page). Someone else may also make a request on behalf of a recipient.

Volunteers meet on the first Sunday of the month in the basement parish hall at St. Mary to distribute groceries and goods to ~17 Grafton families. The donations from St. Mary and St. Philip parishes sustain this outreach program. Donations can be dropped off on the cart at St. Mary (by the Markey Sunday banner) or on the cart or table next to the food pantry cabinets downstairs. Donations can be dropped off in the basket by the front door of St. Philip.
Here is a sample shopping list of items commonly needed. Copies are available on the Soup Kitchen Ministry table in the gathering space at St. Mary and by the collection basket in the front of St. Philip. The list is just a guideline. All donations are welcome.
Special requests are posted in the weekly bulletin!
